Integrative Medicine

Integrative Medicine, also known as Holistic Medicine, is the art and science of healing that addresses care of the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. This is accomplished by treating the individual in a customized way and acknowledging the full spectrum of factors that influence well-being. These factors include diet, nutritional imbalances, genetics, underlying infections, sleep, exercise, toxin exposures and stress. The integrative approach neither rejects conventional medicine, nor embraces alternative/complementary therapies uncritically, as appropriate therapeutic regimens are considered on the basis of what works best for each specific individual.

The practice of holistic medicine integrates conventional and complementary therapies to promote optimal health, and prevent and treat disease by addressing contributing factors. Holistic healthcare practitioners strive to meet the patient with grace, kindness, acceptance, and spirit.

Most people who suffer from a general malaise are not fully aware of the nutritional deficiencies affecting their health. Causes may be due to sleeplessness, poor diets, overwhelming anxiety, even undiagnosed infections. In many cases, people take herbal supplements to address these issues, but their doses may not be appropriate or they may be absent a total plan. Integrative medicine addresses wellness with non-pharmaceutical alternatives that provide the body with natural vitamins and minerals, or hormonal therapy administered to achieve proper absorption and awareness of chemical reactions.

The causes of weight control issues is different across the population because most weight gain is due to dysfunctions of fat and muscle processes at specific locations within the body. By mapping your individual body composition, we can identify the areas that need addressing with pinpoint nutritional and exercise solutions.

Clear thinking, memory lapses, concussions need to be addressed before they deteriorate and cause more damage.  Most people either ignore them or don’t know what to do about them. The exact reason for brain inconsistencies can be discerned medically using proper brainwave testing and healing solutions.

If your car needs a tune up, you can tell, because it’s misfiring or is weaker than it should be. The same is true for your heart, vascular, chemical and nervous systems responsible for the flow of oxygen, sugar balance, nutrient distribution, defensive operations, even emotions and thoughts. It is essential to examine the signals and flow rates of your body, in order to ascertain vulnerabilities and address them before catastrophic failures have a chance to develop.
